The middle of March was fascinating for us as we were delighted to welcome a freelance designer client from the United Kingdom. She designed a pet pullover specifically for Dachshunds. Given the uniqueness of her design, manufacturers cannot accomplish her pattern design with the help of regular quilting techniques.


For this reason, we engaged the services of prototype development from the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF). Over the last several years, she has been our company's pattern and sampling consultant. The fact that she is a customer-oriented fashion designer makes her the ideal candidate to help us complete this order. Her expertise in simulation three-dimensional design and experience were quite helpful in our current endeavor. With her knowledge and contacts, she introduced us to the owner of an embroidery factory in Taoyuan City. Following is a picture of the TTF’s designer and the embroidery manufacturer visiting our studio and meeting with our Account Manager, Heather, to discuss the problem and develop a virtual prototype so the client could see what the sample would look like before making any physical samples.

The importance of making a 3D virtual sample before a physical one cannot be overstated. It allows the client to visualize and approve the design before production occurs. In addition to saving time and resources, this approach keeps the client's expectations in mind as early in the project as possible so that any necessary changes can be addressed right away. A virtual sample in 3D also reduces the risk of errors since the client can review the design in detail before committing to production.
